Beginning November 6th and continuing every first Friday of the month through July, the Downtown Development District (DDD) will sponsor “Take It To The Tracks,” Hammond’s biggest block party featuring live music, great food, lots of specials and loads of fun.

Hammond’s downtown restaurants, clubs and shops will be open late and offering special deals while bands on two large stages next to the railroad tracks will keep the party going from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The first First Friday concert series features Detective Fish, a local favorite, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. At 8 p.m., The Animal Crackers will take the stage until 10 p.m.

Additionally, members of ‘Bout It Brass Band of Hammond will be walking around the downtown area, playing New Orleans-style jazz music, during the evening.
